My weekly ride around the Cedar Hill and Adams area of Robertson Co. was moderately productive today. Sparrows of all species were few and far between, even in places that have been dependable in the past. I had two Loggerhead Shrikes, the first at Van Hook Road and the second at Johnson's dairy farm, both locations being places where I've had them previously. Also at Johnson's farm I found a field full of American Pipits, my first sighting of the season for that species, and I'd guesstimate their numbers in excess of 100. Horned Larks were in evidence at several sites, and I had at least 40 of them. Otherwise things seemed a bit on the quiet side
