[TN-Bird] Shorebirds at the Brainerd Levee, Hamilton co. TN

Judy Newsome and I braved the periodic rainshowers at the Brainerd Levee
(Hamilton, co. TN) looking for shorebirds on May 21 and were rewarded with 9
species. There is still alot of standing water in the horse pasture
bordering Shallowford Road left from the flooding a couple of weeks ago and
it has been excellant for shorebirds. All of the birds were at this
location except four Short-billed Dowitchers which were behind Boyd
Buchanan.

1 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER
1 Dunlin
26 Semipalmated Sandpipers
5 Least Sandpipers
4 Semipalmated Plovers
2 Solitary Sandpipers
1 Spotted Sandpiper
12 Killdeer

4 Short-billed Dowitchers behind Boyd Buchanan
