Shelby Park and Bottoms
East Nashville, Davidson Co.
Mike Smith and I birded Mission Hill in
Shelby Park , and phase 1 of Shelby Bottoms
this morning. 17 Species of Warblers
were seen or heard:
Blue-winged - 2
Tennessee - 8+
Orange-crowned - 1
Nashville - 6+
Northern Parula - 1
Chestnut-sided - 1
Magnolia - 1
Yellow-rumped - 18+
Black-throated Green - 2
Yellow-throated - 2
Praire - 3
Palm - 6
Black-and-white - 1
Kentucky - 1
Common Yellowthroat - 5+
Hooded - 1
Yellow-breasted Chat - 4
Other species seen:
Solitary Sandpiper
Swainson's Thrush
Wood Thrush
Summer Tanager
Scarlet Tanager
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Orchard Oriole
Purple Finch - 1 female on Mission Hill
Phillip Casteel
Madison,TN
