Quarry Bog
Orchard Bog
Shady Valley, TN
Johnson County
Rack Cross
.
The Nature Conservancy's Quarry Bog remains in a flooded state with the
normal walking trial less than half accessible. This could prove to be great
for
species diversification. Orchard Bog, also a project of The Nature Conservancy,
is enjoying high water levels as well. The Red-winged Blackbirds preferred
Orchard Bog over Quarry Bog tonight by 16 to 1! Here is a list from each:
.
Quarry Bog
.
Wood Duck - 3 (one female)
Mallard - 31
Hooded Merganser - 2 (a pair)
Wilson's Snipe - 3
Swamp Sparrow - 4
