This morning Judy Fuson and I traveled to Bledsoe County in hunt of the
Scissor-tailed Flycatchers. Needless to say we were not disappointed. Both the
male and female were spotted almost immediately at the Nine Mile Road site.
They gave us great looks. We continue to search for others as reported by Chuck
Estes earlier this month. We did not locate any others after searching all of
the sites he recommended. We hope to get back again to try to locate others.
We heard only a few cicadas in the Nine Mile area. So far we do not hear them
in DeKalb County.
