[TN-Bird] "Scout" junco arrives; EC doves gone

Hello Birders,

My "advance scout" dark-eyed junco just arrived at my home in the Charlotte
Park section of West Nashville. He is of the slate-colored variety, is making
himself right at home, and he's HUNGRY!!!!!!!!! I always get a "scout" junco
about one to three days ahead of the rest of his crew. They are always a
delightful addition to Dee's "Smorgabird."

By the way, I don't think that I posted that the 6 Eurasian collared doves
have not been here for about a month after having started with one early in the
spring, then its mate, then four more later on (their young?). I did not
realize they "meandered." Wonder if they'll be back next spring. Anybody know
their "migration" habits? I certainly enjoyed having them here.
