The Nashville Chapter of TOS will hold a field trip to
Pace Point/Britton Ford areas of the Tennessee NWR on
Saturday, November 11th.

Meet at 7:00 am at the Bellevue Park-n-Ride
(Directions below) for this all day field trip. Or,
you can meet us at 9:00 am at the Gas Station/Store in
Big Sandy - but please let me know by tommorrow if you
are meeting us there.

The rain is forecast to end by 9 am, so we should be
ok there, but prepare for wind/cold/showers. We will
attempt to flush LeConte's Sparrows from a field, so
bring appropriate footwear.

Birds being seen recently are all the regular dabbling
ducks, many of the diving ducks, White-winged Scoter,
Four species of grebe, two species of loon, many
sparrows, raptors, etc.

This will likely be the last field trip for Rob and I,
as we will be moving to Arizona at the end of the year
(more on that later), so I hope to see everyone
Saturday!!

Directions to Bellevue Park-n-Ride:
From I-40 westbound, Exit 196. Turn left on Highway
70S, turn right at first non-interstate light
(Coley-Davis Road). There is a Shell Station at the
corner. Go down hill, Park-n-Ride is on the right.
We will leave PROMPTLY at 7:00 am.

If anyone has any questions, please email or call me
at 615-566-4380.

Thanks,

Jon Mann
Nashville, TN
