[TN-Bird] Sandhill Cranes at Wheeler Wildlife Refuge

Friday, 28 Nov

While visiting the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge (located on
I-65, just south of the TN state line near Decatur,
AL) I was able to see about 2 dozen Sandhill Cranes
from the observation building near the visitors
center. There were three cranes to start with and
then the rest flew in while we were there. I was
amazing to see them appear on the horizon and then fly
in!
