TN-Birders:
I made a quick trip out to the island today to see if the sun
would bring the Thrasher out. After I was there about 15 minutes
it flew into the top of a Sweetgum. After flitting around, it finally
landed in a small tree where it gorged ravenously on orange
bittersweet berries. I left it there still eating. This was in the area
where it has previously been seen.
FYI, it was very wet and muddy on the island. Also, you might bring
a snack as we may have a long wait.

Marcia Davis will lead a trip out to the island. See previous message
for directions to AMSouth Bank. Saturday is once again a football
Saturday (game starts at 1:00) and traffic will be heavy coming into
town
