Four Scissortail Flycatchers were observed this morning in the large field
just west of the Tn840 overpass over Florence road on the south side perched on
the fence near the road (Rutherford County). Presumably this is the same
family group that must have nested here this year - all 4 had fairly long
tails,
but I did not have binos for a more diagnostic view. I assume this was the
parents + 2 young? I hadn't seen them for about a month, and don't expect they
will hang around much longer!
