[TN-Bird] SC Snail Kite

For the "tickers" out there, if you haven't heard, there's a Snail Kite
being seen in South Carolina at a crawfish pond SE of Columbia near
Lake Marion. Apparently the first well-documented report in US
outside of Florida (there are a couple of unconfirmed reports from
Georgia). Directions as posted to CarolinaBirds listserv are below.

Subject: Directions to the Snail Kite in Clarendon County, SC

Gary,

The Snail Kite was seen today at the crawfish farm along Elliott's Landing
Road, which turns off south from Old River Road (Road 76)in Clarendon
County, SC.

See Delorme Atlas, page 46, D-4.

Directions from I-95: From Exit 119 at Manning go west on SC 261 to
Pinewood. At Pinewood go south on SC 120, which parallels the railroad
track, to Rimini. At Rimini go southeast on Road 76, Old River Road. (Road
26, Governor Richardson Road, the main road from Rimini to Summerton, is
closed for bridge construction).

Two miles southeast from the railroad track at Rimini you will reach a large
mill pond with lots of bald cypress on your left. Elliott's Landing Road
goes off to the right just opposite the mill pond. The crawfish farm is
about 100 yards down Elliott's Landing Road. The landing, campground and
store are 1 mile down Elliott's Landing Road, on the shores of Lake Marion.

Lat-long: 33 39' 00" N, 80 29' 49" W, according to Google Earth.
