[TN-Bird] Rufous Hummingbird Day 88

In spite of the severe thunderstorm that passed through our area this
morning, Willie came to the feeder at 6:15 and back a couple of times in
the next three minutes. As soon as I turned the spotlight on the tiny
gnat-like insects began to gather, I thought Willie might have a hard
time deciding about breakfast, with a choice of protein and sugar water
but he stayed with his usual.

Yesterday he fed regularly in spite of the continual downpour. He was
very relaxed as he sat at the feeder and we are sure that the change of
feeding the yard birds in back of the house was a good one for him.

I emailed the first person that had photographed Willie and asked her to
stop by and get some pictures of him in his molting stage. She may be
able to do that one day this week. We'll see just how much he has
changed over his almost three month stay with us.
