He made his first visit this morning at 6:44 a.m. in a pouring rain. He is wise enough to not want to get so wet, so after his first visit to verify the sugar water was there, he then flew to the feeder port directly under the spotlight. This position protects him from the rain and also warms his little body on this chilly morning. And instead of making several quick visits, he sat in the shelter and heat and just drank even though it is still dark and he normally doesn't sit on the feeder until daylight. What a beautiful sight he is so early in the morning. You're still invited to come and see him for yourself and those who saw him in 2004 are welcome to see him again for their 2005 list. Just let us know when and we'll be sure one of us is at home.
