[TN-Bird] Rufous Hummingbird Day 31

Willie is a wonder! Except for a couple of mornings, he has been coming
at exactly 6:28 a.m. and today was no exception. It was a milder night
here with temperatures only in the mid 20's so our anxiety level was
much lower as we peered into the darkness looking for that first flash
of vibrant color. But it is always a relief to see him and know he made
it through another night. He has become such a part of our lives that
we can't recall what we did in the mornings before he came - Virginia
says sometimes she slept a few more minutes. We never oversleep now as
we know his feeder has to be out and the lights on so he can begin
feeding even in the darkness. He has interrupted our lives in the same
good way our three babies did years ago. We hope he gives us
grandchildren who come to visit us too.
The invitation to come and see him is still extended to everyone. Now
that he is sitting in the bare bush, he is viewable most of the time
even when he is not at the feeder.
