[TN-Bird] Royal Tern Photos - Memphis, TN

On July 27, 2008, I made my usual river check hoping the river had dropped  
enough to expose some much needed sandbars for my viewing pleasure. Sure 
enough,  two small slips of sand were exposed and just under thirty terns of 4  
species were sitting, preening, sleeping and flying across the river  in the 
"hopefully" near future location of Dacus Bar.
 
I've posted THREE of the poor but I believe diagnostic photos  taken of an 
adult Royal Tern found that day. Amazingly not storm assisted just a  summer 
traveler...........
