[TN-Bird] Ross's Geese - Rutherford County

One adult and one immature Ross's Goose showed up yesterday at a small lake
behind the new hospital in Murfreesboro (MTMC)
The lake is part of the greenway system, and is directly behind the
Murfreesboro
Medical Clinic which can be accessed off Garrison Drive/Thompson Lane. The
city
spent most of last summer trying to getr water to stay in the lake, and after
large quantities of both concrete and sweat, the mission seems to have been
accomplished. There are a number of domestic ducks and feral Canada Geese
around, and a flock of ring-billed gulls is also present each day. I would not
be surprised to see other unusual waterfowl or rarities appear here in the
future
