I've been keeping my feeders filled, hoping that this might be the year
I could add Rose-breasted Grosbeaks to my yard list--and today it
happened! I had one male and one female hanging out in my yard feeding
on black oil sunflower seeds. The female, unfortunately, was attacked
by a House Sparrow at the feeder (not sure what brought that on, but it
was definitely deliberate). My patience with the House Sparrows is
really wearing thin.
Maybe the grosbeaks will be back tomorrow. One can hope!
