I took a relatively new birder to the Wolf River with me late this
afternoon to show her the indigo buntings and hoped to see the Rose breasted
Grosbeaks. We saw about 6 Indigo Buntings and after an hour I saw a bigger
bird flash in the top of the trees. I told her that should be the Rose
breasted Grosbeak because it is time he gets here and sure enough, it was!!
There were two of them busy searching for food. My FOS and her first ever!!
We also saw an Eastern Kingbird which she had never seen before. Still
haven't seen many warblers, maybe I need to get there early in th morning.
