[TN-Bird] Roane County wild turkey nest

While birding the western portion of the North Boundary Trail in Oak Ridge
(Roane County), TN today I discovered what I believe to be the nest of a Wild
Turkey. Unfortunately for the turkeys the nest had been predated and an adult
turkey killed. I base this on the large amount of feathers strewn on the
ground and the broken eggs in the nest. I went on the internet to ID the
feathers and the eggs, found a photograph of wild turkey eggs that look
identical to those I found (tan with brown speckling). At least one of the
feathers had a pale terminal band, which closely matched the feather of a tom
turkey on the Feather Atlas site. From the place where I found the nest I
could hear a Prairie Warbler singing in the distance. Other birds of interest
that I mostly IDed from sound as they're darned hard to get a look at were 2
Northern Parulas, a Prothonotary Warbler, several Red-Eyed Vireos (I did see
one of those), 2 White-Eyed Vireos, an Acadian Flycatcher, a couple Scarlet
Tanagers, Common Yellowthroats, Yellow-Breasted Chats and Indigo Buntings. Oh,
and Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers (saw one, heard several).
