[TN-Bird] Rick Knight on regional TV re. Ivory-billed

TN-Birders,
For those of you on television cable in the Knoxville region and other East
Tennessee areas, WCYB-TV5 of Bristol will air a story tonight on the local news
at 11:00 and again tomorrow morning with Johnny Wood about the Ivory-bill. It
will include a few comments from TOS member and prominent Tennessee birder Rick
Knight of Johnson City, TN.

Rick was part of a heralded 6-member team chosen by the LSU Museum of Natural
History researchers to search for the species in 2002. Starting on Jan. 17 of
that year, Rick and others (including a sound team from Cornell University),
searched 30 good weather days in the Pearl River of Louisiana. The project was
funded by Zeiss and received much national and international publicity.

Be sure and watch tonight......

Let's go birding......
