[TN-Bird] Reelfoot Lake CBC highlights

Reelfoot CBC Highlights

The Reelfoot Lake Christmas Bird Count was held on Saturday, Decmber 17th.  
Thirteen birders tallied 115 species plus an additional 4 count week birds not 
located on the count day.  

Highlights included 3 new species for the count: Cackling Goose, Long-billed 
Dowitcher, and Sandhill Crane.  Other notable species include Ross's Goose, 
Blue-winged Teal, Greater Scaup, American White Pelican, Least Sandpiper, Tree 
Swallow, House Wren, Marsh Wren, Common Yellowthroat, American Tree Sparrow, 
Vesper Sparrow, LeConte's Sparrow, Lapland Longspur, Western Meadowlark, and 
Purple Finch.

I'll post a full report later this week once I get everything totaled.  Thanks
