A quick morning pass?through Shelby Farms to look at the Patriot Lake waterfowl
numbers?which could be seen from Walnut Grove Road, gave me my first of season
Redhead Ducks. The 14 bird flock of mixed hens and males, some just?emerging
from eclipse plumage, were a nice find on a dreary work day. Their muted
elegance was a perfect match to the gray day. Let's see what the weekend
brings.........
