I was glad to see a pair of Red Headed Woodpeckers in one of my next door
neighbor's trees. Last year a pair of Redheads raised four young in one of
my trees. The branch that they used last year fell after the little ones
had fledged. I have a dead 30" diameter tree in the corner of my yard that
I am considering leaving up for the woodpeckers if just a few more branches
would fall that might potentially reach a near by power line.

Other back yard sighting this morning are Great Crested flycatcher and
Eastern Wood Pewee.

  Good Birding,

Steve Breece

Best regards,
