Mud Island
Shelby Co
Jeff Wilson called this morning with a Red Phalarope working the River out
from Mud Island. The bird is moving quite a bit, and once Jeff saw it float
out of sight under the bridge, only to reappear a few minutes later flying
north up the river again. There is a lot of foam in the River, making it a
little harder to pick this pale spinner up. It does get up and fly around a
bit, which is how Jeff 1st picked it up. He had seen the bird from the north
parking lot as well as the south parking lot. So, anyone trying, bring a
little luck with you (or, maybe Jeff will still be around and TLBA might
suffice!)
Good Birding!!
