[TN-Bird] Red Crossbills at Clingman's Dome (NC)

I visited Clingman's Dome yesterday (6/28)?with my family.? It has been many
years since I spent time in that high elevation country.? We were greeted in
the parking lot by a young turkey, feeding on hand-outs from tourists...bet
he'll become a regular.? As we began walking the trail to the tower, three
birds flew into a tree in front of the restrooms.? A quick look through the
binoculars gave me a great view of 2 male and 1 female Red Crossbill.? Other
birds along the trail included Chimney Swift (the only bird seen in Tennessee),
Cedar Waxwing, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Eastern Towhee and lots of Dark-eyed
Junco.
