[TN-Bird] Rankin waterbirds, FOS

Cocke county, 4/27/07, 5:00 - 8:00 PM
Rankin Bridge to Leadvale trestle by car; by canoe from Leadvale boat launch 
to 1 imile downriver.
Douglas Lake elevation: 976.5.

The Lake is barely into Rankin Bottoms.  We found the best wetland habitat 
-flooded, grassy flats - and most of the waterbirds on the other side of the 
Rankin peninsula, between Leadvale and Walters Bridge.  There's not much 
decent public viewing access from shore for that stretch of the river/lake.

Lesser yellowlegs (at least 75 - in taller vegetation)

Wood thrush
Yellow warbler (2)
