We set out from Leadvale while the light was still good in order to try out 
my new telephoto lens.
We found another previously undocumented osprey nest a mile and a half 
downriver from the boat launch. It's situated on a concrete silo and held 
two ospreys.  That's the eighth occupied nest we've seen this year in Cocke 
county.

The only other observations not listed for 4/27:
Am. black duck
Pectoral sandpiper (8)
Am. pipit
