[TN-Bird] Radnor Lake, another CONNECTICUT

Wonderfully bright and sunny

I walked the Lake Trail from the West Parking lot to Long
Bridge and back this Monday morning. Today was a bit
different than usual, and not just because it was sunny
for a change. I birded almost exclusively by ear. I could
say that this was on purpose, but the truth of the matter
is that I managed not to bring my binoculars despite the
fact that they were right next to the door as I left home.

I did manage to get 8 species of warblers, including a
CONNECTICUT at the fence just before Bench 20 at Long Bridge.
I spent about 30 minutes in the area, and most of the time
it was in stealth mode, invisible. It sang just 3 times,
all within a span of about 2 minutes. Numbers of RED-EYED
VIREOs and SWAINSON'S THRUSHes were still respectible.

WARBLERs:
Yellow 1
Magnolia 4
Black-throated Green 1
Prothonotary 1
Louisiana Waterthrush 2
Connecticut 1
Hooded 1
Wilson's 1
