Radnor Lake State Natural Area Nashville-Davidson Co. TN Easter Sunday 04 April 2010 While walking along the dam road at Radnor Lake this morning, I heard my FOS YELLOW-THROATED VIREO. This is a species I hear more than see, despite my attempts to do the latter. This bird cooperated, however. The bird sang out in the open atop a still-leafless tree facing the full morning sun. Later while coming down the South Cove Trail east side, I heard a Yellow-throated Vireo singing and then later ascending the Ganier Ridge Trail, I heard yet another Yellow-throated Vireo. Acting much more in line with my usual encounters with this species, these two birds remained unseen despite my attempts to locate them.
