Clear and Cool
Bonnie and I birded Radnor Lake on Sunday, making the usual
trek from the west parking lot to long bridge and back.
It felt like a wonderful fall day. We had a BROAD-WINGED HAWK
and various warblers, but from what we were told, it was not as
birdy as Saturday. We had few thrushes and flycatchers. Warblers
were dominated by MAGNOLIAs and AM. REDSTARTs and only 7 species
were seen.
Birds of interest included:
Broad-winged Hawk 1
Swainson's Thrush 2
White-eyed Vire 1
Yellow-throated Vireo 1
Warblers:
Blue-winged 1
Chestnut-sided 1
Magnolia 18+
Black-and-white 1
American Redstart 8+
Ovenbird 2
Common Yellowthroat 1
