Radnor Lake State Natural Area
Davidson Co.
Nashville, TN
2009 May 4,5
cloudy, light rain

Returning on Sunday afternoon from dry southeast AZ and a
successful quest to see the Blue Mockingbird after my
business was taken care of, I feel as if I am in the midst
of a rain forest at Radnor Lake, with water dripping down
from the trees all the time.

I birded there for 2-2.5 hours on both Monday and Tuesday.
Most species were there both days, but I found Verry only
on Monday and a House Wren, Gray-cheeked Thrush, and
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks today. I saw or heard 14
warbler species on Monday and 18 today. It was nice
to see my first Bay-breasted, Magnolia, and Cerulean for
the year. Numbers for the two days will be listed side by
side below.
