Finally. The first winter in our new home, Purple Finch sightings
outnumbered House Finch sightings. This season, I didn't think we
were going to have any. Finally, a single male showed up this
morning (22 Mar) for a few minutes... though technically it's not
winter anymore.
Also had a very pale grey, almost white goldfinch fly in that had
me scrambling for the binocs and looking for a black chin and red
forehead. Unfortunately, I'm NTLBA.
