[TN-Bird] Possible Allen's Hummingbird in Smith Co.

Portia and I banded an immature male -_Selasphorus_ hummingbird in the
Elmwood community of Smith County today. This bird MAY be an ALLEN'S
HUMMINGBIRD, and if so would be the fifth record for TN. There is some
confusion about the identification due to the bird's molt pattern. I am
consulting with some other banders, who will review the photographs, and
hopefully I will have a conclusive answer in the next day or two. If it
is an Allen's, I will discuss with the owners whether or not visitors
will be possible.
