Greetings, Please forgive me for being so late in this post, but I HAVE been a little debilitated lately due to my illness. I do hope to be home with the poodles AND my backyard birds soon. While sitting on the "back porch" at the Waterford Assisted Living Facility on Sawyer Brown Road in Bellevue on Tuesday afternoon, an adult peregrine falcon flew across the yards behind us in a north to south direction. It appeared to be on its way to another destination and did not appear to be in "feeding mode." Since it is about 12-13 road miles to downtown, it may be a bit far for the downtown birds. It's about 6 road miles to where I see the Belle Meade/Charlotte Park birds, so perhaps one of those ventured out here.........or, maybe its a completely different bird. I believe peregrines may be more common around Nashville that many have thought. I sure do see them frequently enough and in different locations to support that theory to some extent. They are always a thrill no matter when or where they are seen! Dee Thompson Nashville, TN

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone.
