[TN-Bird] Pacific Loon- Port Rd Overlook (Henry Co.) 12/17/03

A quick run up to the Paris Landing vicinity on the afternoon of
12/17/03, produced an adult basic Pacific Loon from the overlook on Port
Rd. The loons were scattered around the areas, in small groups, but the
Pacific was feeding by itself when I saw it. I had the bird in view for
several minutes before it worked out of view to the south. This bird
wasn't far at all from the location we had a Pacific over the weekend at
Rocky Point on the Big Sandy Unit refuge, and also wasn't far from the
location that Hap and Roseanna had a Pacific at Eagle Creek as well. Not
much more of interest, a couple of nice rafts of Red-breasted Merg's and
6 Forster's Terns gracefully winging over the river.
