[tn-bird] One Powerfull Kestral

Hi all,

I just spoke to my husband who thinks birds are cool
but says he is no "bird freak"-his pet name for me. 
So, he says he saw something awesome on the way home
from town, I would have loved it.  "It was one of
those small hawks, ya know, the ones that perch on the
lines (I knew he was talking about a Kestral, but I
didn't have the heart to tell him its a falcon).  He
flew a few feet in front of the truck and it was
carrying something in its talons" he says.  "So, I
slowed down and pulled to the side of the road to see
what it was, and it was a Mourning Dove!  The same
size as the hawk!"  He sounded truly amazed!  "But
then I caught myself and said, 'What am I, some kind
of bird freak?'"

I guess it hits us in different ways...But, I think
he'll watch those "sparrow hawks" a little closer from
now on.
