[TN-Bird] Obion Co Worm-eating Warbler

For the second time in three years, I had a singing Worm-eating
Warbler at stop #24 of my Tiptonville BBS route in Obion County. Two
years ago I also had a second bird, singing AND seen, a half mile
farther along the route at stop 25. This morning (6/06/09) the bird
was heard-only. This stop is right at the base of the bluffs at the
edge of the delta near Samburg. To reach it, go north/east on
highway 22 just past Samburg, and immediately after the bridge
construction turn right at the sign for "Flippen's Hillbilly Barn."
This takes you steeply up the bluff. In not quite a mile at the top
take the first public road to the right. Unfortunately the signs at
this road that indicated the way to a boat ramp are now horizontal in
the ditch, perhaps ice storm victims. It's an old but paved road
that angles sharply back to the right and back down the bluff; there
are no signs for it now. It ends at a boat ramp on the shore of a
watershed lake. Both years the Worm-eating has been singing to the
right as you face the lake, in the woods right near the parking area.

Stop 25, where I had a second bird in 2007, is back up the hill the
way you came, 0.5 mile from the boat ramp, where there is a large
area of trash dumped down the steep slope off the road to your left.
This area was hit pretty hard by the ice storms and the canopy is
much more open than it was in 2007.

While obviously not a rare bird in TN overall, a probable breeding
location for this species in Obion County is certainly noteworthy.
