4/26/2010 Oneal Lake (Hatchie NWR) Haywood Co I arrived at Oneal Lake at daybreak, and spent 1.5 hours in the area. A group of DC Cormorants were there in the trees, but no Neotropic. This group left shortly afterwards, with a single DC staying in the area. Also didn't see the Yellow-headed Blackbird seen yesterday. This was the only time I had to look, before work this morning. Luckily it is only a few minutes from work to Oneal. Afternoon might be a better time, hopefully Jeff can get back and see it if might still be around. Other birds of note were all 6 species of regularly occuring species of TN Swallows, with good numbers of Banks zooming around. Other FOY birds were Great Crested Flycatcher and Gray Catbird. Good Birding!!
