How appropriate that a Coopers Hawk was hunting for a late breakfast outside
the Wild Birds Unlimited store in the Gallery Shopping Center this morning
around 9:45. I interrupted his grazing, but I imagine he was probably more
successful later. We've got a large ranchette feeder out front in the
shrubbery, and he shows up occasionally looking for a quick snack. When I
startled him coming out the door, he flew into a close tree, where we all
got a very good look at him. He was hesitant to leave the breakfast bar!
JP. Happy Thanksgiving, Birders!!
