[tn-bird] New yard bird

Today I had my first ever Pine Warbler- eating from my suet cakes. It was
nice to have a couple of Yellow-rumped Warblers here too, along with Field
Sparrows and Song Sparrows today. I still have a Red-breasted Nuthatch coming
almost daily to eat from the feeders, and a first year female Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker has been here for long periods of time- also at the suet feeders. I
was able to get really great close up shots of it with the digital camera
(will share with anyone that is interested).

Yesterday I sat and watched out the window as an American Robin decided to
claim ownership of the back yard, and the heated ground bath. It spent almost
2 hours puffing it's chest out, and chasing off every robin that came
anywhere near the yard or woods. It would not let anyone even use the ground
bath. It was especially aggressive when the Eastern Bluebirds tried to drink
from the bath. It even had a run in with a Starling, but unfortunately the
Starling held it's ground. I have never witnessed such as aggressive robin. I
came back almost 2 hours later, and he was still out there, defending his new
found territory. The robin was eventually joined by a single female, whom he
"allowed" in the yard, and she seemed most impressed by his macho-ness :) I
was even more surprised to see him back playing dictator again today in the
yard!
