White Oak Creek Embayment
Houston County, TN
March 29, 2008
Eagles breeding on a nest only about 30 feet up a tree near a logging trail
that follows a ridgetop.? When we approached to about 100 yards, the off-duty
mate circled around to a snag and scolded us.? His chatter was so shrill and
acrobatic he sounded more like a squirrel or a chickadee that an awesome bird
of prey.? We left.
