Yesterday I found a Robin nest on the University of Tennessee- Agricultural Campus with at least two very large nestlings being feed by their parents. When I went to check the nest today one had fledged and was being fed about 5 feet from the nest. If today was the fledging date, it would mean the female started laying eggs sometime during the second week of February! While I was trying to relocate the Robin nest, I found a Mourning Dove nest a few feet away. --Jim Giocomo Knoxville, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation.
