Last week, Jack Paul and R.J. Moore found a pair of Scissor-tailed Flycatchers
in the river bottoms near Savannah, TN.? Today, R.J. and I returned to the site
to see if they were still around.? We not only found both birds, we watched the
female carry nesting material into a large tree in the middle of a wheat
field.?The birds were along Coffee Landing Road, about 1.1 mile north of Hwy.
64.? The nest was being constructed in the second large tree north of first
intersection.? I know of only one previous nesting record for Hardin County.
