[TN-Bird] Neck bands

Friends:
Can anyone tell me whether it is useful to report neck-bands on Canada geese,
and where to report them if so?

This morning about 7 am a flock of 14 arrived on the pond adjacent to our
house, and one of them bore a white plastic neckband with black capital letters
"X28R". They stayed about 20 minutes feeding on submerged vegetation.

Being an old leg-bander and knowing how important returns are, I wonder about
the neck-bands.

Thanks for information.
