[TN-Bird] National Migration Count results for Hamilton County

142 species were found by 28 participants on the National Migration
Count in Hamilton County held on May 9. This total is not bad but a
little below average, we had a few thunderstorms in the area which
disrupted the field work.  Highlights included:
 

1 Least Bittern - Standifer Gap Marsh

1 Virginia Rail - Standifer Gap

1 Sora - Standifer Gap

3 White-rumped Sandpipers - Standifer Gap

7 Forster's Terns - Tennessee River

1 Marsh Wren - Riverport

3 Gray Cheeked Thrush 

4 Veery

1 Philadelphia Vireo - Greenway Farms

2 Wilson's Warbler - Cravens House, Greenway Farms

26 Bobolinks - Riverport

 

Misses:

Peregrine Falcon

Rose-breasted Grosbeak

Baltimore Oriole
