Saturday, September 29 - Harpeth River Greenway, Cumberland River Greenway at Brookmeade Park, Davidson Co. To get acquainted with some of the greenways in the Nashville area, we're going to include them as part of our NTOS field trips in the coming year. Harpeth River Greenway is in Bellevue on Old Harding Rd. It has a 1 mile paved trail which goes by a small lake and through some woods. A few shorebirds may be possible along with other migrants. Cumberland River Greenway at Brookmeade Park is off of Charlotte Pk. across from Brookmeade Elementary School. It's a short, paved trail that ends with a fine overlook of the river. Because there are few parking spaces at Harpeth River, we'll meet at the Warner Park Nature Center on Hwy 100 at 7:00 A.M. and carpool from there. This combined trip will last just a few hours. All are welcome.
