Members of the Warioto Audubon Society (Clarksville) Barbara Wilbur,Steve
Hamilton, Rose Sheridan, Duane and Carrie Rice, along with folks from Nathan
Bedford Forrest State Park, were led on a wildflower walk today, by Randy
Hedgepath.

Though it was technically a "wildflower" walk, a few of us saw it as a great
opportunity to get some good birds as well.

The weather again today was perfect for being out of doors, and the birds were
in great singing form.

Here's what we saw and heard:

Louisiana Waterthrush

Eastern Bluebird

Northern Parula

Barn Swallow

Belted Kingfisher

Tufted Titmouse

Carolina Chickadee

Yellow-throated Warbler

White-breasted Nuthatch

Northern Cardinal

Canada Goose

Turkey Vulture

Barred Owl

Pileated Woodpecker

Red-bellied Woodpecker

Downy Woodpecker

Prothonotary Warbler (FOY)

Yellow Warbler (FOY)

Wild Turkey

Eastern Phoebe

Not bad for a walk in the woods for a couple of hours in the middle of the day,
while also looking at and learning about wildflowers.

Thanks again Randy

Thanks Steve for driving.
