Hi Jeff, etc.,
My guess is that this particular mall-oid is a Rouen duck (as opposed to a
ruined duck?), which is one of the plethora of domesticated malloids; the
Rouen's colour pattern is the same as "normal" Mallards, just considerably
fatter.
