Tullahoma, TN (Coffee County)
Ruth Luckado and I spent a few hours at her house today enjoying the
avian visitors to the water mister in her yard. She's set up the
mister in an elm tree, which has apparently been a preferred spot for
migrating Tennessee Warblers for several years. There are still quite a
few fall migrants stopping through, and we were also pleased to see
several winter residents making their first appearance this fall.
Here are the highlights:
Tennessee Warbler
Bay-breasted Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler (Ruth actually spotted her FOS yesterday, 10/14)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet*
Golden-crowned Kinglet*
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker*
* First of Season
What a lovely day!
