Shelby Co. TN
I've been trying to get to the river at least once each day, just to see
what is moving during this prime migration time. The Mississippi looked like a
12 lane freeway today sans cars. It has risen 19 feet in less than 6 days and
I've seen nothing but foam and trash going down stream this week. Not one
duck, gull or tern since last Friday, nada, zilch, zero for a week;o( It
peaked
today, let's hope for a quick down turn so the rock dikes and sandbars can
get back to hosting migrating birds.
At least the "pits" have lots of birds, even if they are 99% Least
Sandpipers.......
Good Birding !!!

What is this feathered thing that lifts my heart to the heavens.
